 Intro to Rudraksha

Contact Us

According to the Vedas, during the fight with “Asur Tripursur”, when Mahadev Shiva was burning of anger, and as a result some tears out of the eyes of Mahadev dropped on Earth. Then Shri Bhramha, guided these tears to take the shape of trees, these trees & their fruits are known as Rudrakha.

Rudraksha – the representative of Rudra (Anger or Mahadev Shiva)

Hence Rudraksha is the most divine thing to be worshiped and also the greatest source of self-realization. The Rudraksha tree is botanically known as ELAEOCARPUS GANITRUS ROXB. Its English name is UTRASUM BEAD TREE.

There are clefts on every Rudraksha & these clefts are called Mukhis. The size of the Rudraksha also matters i.e. Rudraksha of the size of Amla is known to be the best. The second best is the size of berrys & the third best is size equal to grams.

There is a belief that the clefts refer to the quality of Rudraksha, but according to us the quality is largely determined by the maturity & size of Rudrakha. Clefts refer to the application of Rudraksha in terms of Rashis, Lagnas or diseases, etc.
